Hello there! I’m Juliusz Slaski, a footwear designer hungry to make a mark in the footwear industry. I have a special interest in the instersection of art and science, or fashion and performance in footwear; I seek both aesthetic and functional excellence in my work.
After graduating from the University of Alberta in 2018, I pursued several footwear-related education experiences, including internships and masterclasses at adidas, New Balance, Poppy Barley and cycling brand Showers Pass.
Since 2021, I have worked at Bata designing for Power Athletics, and for the last year+ working as the lead designer and product manager for outdoor-focused footwear brand, Weinbrenner.
Growing up with sports and art at front of mind, I inevitably developed a healthy footwear obsession, and have been called “a walking encyclopedia of footwear” by my peers.
I believe that the pursuit of new ideas, technologies, materials, aesthetics, and elevated user experience are vital elements of good footwear design.
I am currently located in Toronto, Canada, and open to relocate globally.
